Like the Inline jibber-jabber to run that C program to see if something is utf8 or not?

The sad thing is, I knew what you were talking about.

I think you (and scsi) have a slightly more vested interest in such knowledge than I do though. ;)

Agreed. It's a great concept for development testing, specifically if you grab the generated xs files and keep those around. I can't imagine running Inline, with that whole automagic run time compilation "feature", in a production environment. You know that I actually *worked* (as in day job) with that particular author, right? *shudder*

Yeah, that is what we do, oh well, all the recent 500s were due to inline, to get completely rid of it..

Man, I like Ingy, he is great fun, but some of his code is ingyware!

Agreed. He's a great guy but he and I have ... a difference of opinion when it comes to design.

I notice you used the word "were". Are the 500s all better now?

Why do I have this odd feeling that many people have differences of opinion about design with ingy?

I do, however, jump on the "ingy's a great guy" bandwagon. Well, except for the fact that I'm no longer sure how to spell his name...

I don't know what it is, but I don't like Inline any more than you do :P

Everything would have been fine if you guys hadn't been using Inline::Postscript!
