Depends who "we" is, and who's paying. ;-)
Actually, I have an amusing story relating to that:
One day, I was on holiday with my father and step-mother, and we stopped off at a go-carting racetrack. Naturally, my father insisted that we all had to have a go.
There was only one thing . . . I didn't really know how to drive, and was not at all confident in my ability to do so (I can nowadays, though I still don't enjoy it). Still, I thought I would give it a go.
When the manager guided me to the car, he whispered conspiratorially in my ear: "This one's the fastest - you should be able to scoot straight past everyone else. Good luck!"
Naturally, I was petrified, and spent the entire race being very careful on the throttle. As it happened, even with my advantage my step-mum beat me by a lap. She's got a real competitive edge to her, sometimes!
(Well, I found it amusing . . .) | |
